Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Salt
  • Active Dry Yeast
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Whole Milk
  • Eggs
  • Cinnamon Sugar Filling
  • Icing Sugar Glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. In another bowl, melt butter and mix with warm milk. Combine both mixtures to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread melted butter evenly over the surface.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the buttered dough and roll tightly from one end to form a log.
  6. Cut the log into equal pieces and place them upright in greased muffin tins. Allow them to rise again while preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with icing sugar glaze if desired.
