- 3 ripe bananas
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ teaspoons)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Mix in melted butter and sugar, then stir in proofed yeast.
- Gradually add flour and cinnamon until a sticky dough forms; knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Roll out the dough, spread softened butter over it, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon, then roll into a log and slice into pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- For frosting, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Frost warm rolls and enjoy!
