- ½ cup milk

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onions over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Stir in diced potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the beef mixture with cream of mushroom soup and milk until creamy.
- Layer half of the mixture in the baking dish, sprinkle half of the cheese, then add the remaining mixture followed by more cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; uncover during the last 10 minutes to achieve a golden crust.
