Description

Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole is a deliciously comforting dish featuring layers of tender potatoes, savory ground beef, and gooey cheese. A family favorite that’s simple to prepare!

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 medium russet potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onions over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in diced potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, mix the beef mixture with cream of mushroom soup and milk until creamy.
  5. Layer half of the mixture in the baking dish, sprinkle half of the cheese, then add the remaining mixture followed by more cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; uncover during the last 10 minutes to achieve a golden crust.
